AFSM Executive Committee (2000 – 2005):
After
the very unfortunate and tragic demise of (Late)
Professor Nishat Mallick, President, Asian Federation of
Sports Medicine, in April 2002, the Executive Board of
AFSM convened its emergency meeting in Bangkok, Thailand
and after hectic deliberations the was Bangkok Declaration
issued

was held in September 2002 during the 5th
AFSM Congress in Seoul, Korea to elect the new office
bearers to oversea the continuation of the work until

Tribute paid to late Dr Mallick for sports medicine
(May 20, 2003.):
Speakers at a gathering organised by the Sports Medicine Association of Pakistan (SMAP) paid tributes to its former chief, the late Dr Nishat Mallick who was killed by unidentified persons last year, and lauded his services for introducing sports medicine inthe country.
